BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE

All right, my faithful readers, here’s the rub, I, and my good friend Freeman Presson have a little something cooked up especially for you, if you are pure of heart and have more than a wee bit of occult detective blood flowing through them there veins of yours. A true name is most sacred, highly coveted, but carefully guarded. Rumpelstiltskin anyone? We all know that Landon Connors was named for my son, but there is another character within this story whose name has significance. If you can divine it, email me at secretname @ occultdetective dot com with the correct answer and you will receive a very special gift:

talisman2

This talisman, carefully designed by Freeman and myself, and consecrated upon the Presson altar could be yours for the taking. If you have the Will and the Fortitude to unlock the secret. What’s in a name? Everything, my friends. Everything.

  1. Without getting into any detailed exegesis, the talisman is for Sol in Leo (for which 8/20 was the last good consecration date this year) and brings in aspects of the Strength card in the Tarot. I chose this because I wanted the nice side effects of doing it, and because it made for a talisman that pretty much anyone could relate to. Naturally, the artwork is 100% Bob Freeman, and I love it. I’m not planning on re-using it, though: this is for the astute winner of the contest.
