Monday Morning Madness

Well, it’s back to the old grindstone after a pleasant weekend with Kim and Connor. Yesterday we went to Indianapolis and stopped off at Half-Price Books where I was able to snag a nice little copy of The Hidden Harbor Mystery. A little wear and tear on the dust-jacket, but I like a book that looks like it was appreciated by its previous owner. Also managed to walk away with a Wanderer edition of The Mummy Case and a Minstrel Nancy Drew. Add in a decent meal and a fun night putting together Conn’s new Star Wars Lego set, and you’d be hard pressed to assemble a better weekend short of winning the lottery (which I didn’t).

But, as I said, it’s now back to work. I’ve a few book reviews to churn out, a whole lot of Rookhaven business to get squared away, plus the second issue of Occult Detective Illustrated to wrangle. And that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Short stories are begging attention and there is a mountain of editing to get to before I can properly launch my self-publishing empire.

And I’ve not even mentioned all the emails that are piling up.

Guess I’d best stop talkin’ and start chalkin’.

To arms…
